🚅Melbourne’s long-awaited airport rail link is back on track with a $2 billion funding boost from the federal government, as Prime Minister Albanese vowed to end decades of delays on the vital project. - Benita Kolovos, Guardian Australia

💊A man and a woman have been charged with drug trafficking after police uncovered a stash of 1,4 Butanediol - an industrial solvent often misused as a party drug - alongside cannabis plants in a major raid on a Port Melbourne home. - Victoria Police

🚗Victorian car thieves are increasingly targeting the Holden Commodore, with thefts rising by nearly 95% in the past year, resulting in 242 stolen vehicles in just 28 days earlier this year, alongside a 76% increase in Toyota thefts, including 45 HiLuxes. - Victoria Police
