🌺 Melbourne's ANZAC Day Commemoration activities are underway with the Dawn Service running from 5:30-6:30am this morning. Now that it’s finished, members of the public can go into the Sanctuary of the Shrine of Remembrance to lay a poppy. - RSL Victoria
➡️ Around 40,000 Victorians were expected to huddle around the Shrine of Remembrance for the Dawn Service. - 7 News
➡️ There’s also the traditional ANZAC Day March starting at Federation Square and ending at the Shrine of Remembrance from 8:30am to noon. It honours Australian service personnel while offering a family-friendly opportunity to connect with the legacy of sacrifice and courage. - What’s On Melbourne
➡️ After honouring the Diggers at an ANZAC Day service, head to the local RSL for the fine Aussie tradition of two-up. It’s only legal in Victoria on ANZAC Day or at special functions in the seven-day lead-up to it. - VGCCC

A quick note on yesterday’s poll. The vast majority of you are fine if this is sent nearer 7:30am than 7am. Good to know, but to the 8%, I hear you. If I can I’ll send the Snap at 7am because I know some readers like to read the newsletter in bed.

The poll from yesterday’s edition.

🎤 After 23 days of attempts to interview the Bruce electorate’s Liberal candidate, Zahid Safi, journalist Charlotte Grieve spoke to him on the campaign trail. Questions have been raised around Mr Safi’s reputation as a “successful small businessman” after a company he is linked to is stacked with fake reviews.
➡️ Whatever side of the fence you’re on, it’s a toe-curling interview, particularly if you’re Team Safi. You can watch it below. - Charlotte Grieve, The Age.
